Asthma ugg!

My youngest has Asthma and his seems to be getting worse as he gets older. I really don't like giving him medication every day. He was born with severe eczema all over his body the dermatologist put him on elidel cream which was not approved for children under two but his was so bad she thought he needed it. Well a year after he was on it studies showed increase risk for lymphoma's with the use of that medication...My pediatrician said more studies need to be done, but I was not going to take the risk. I was not consistent using it, but I have been very cautious ever since about giving my son something everyday. Now I wonder did I make things worse by not giving him his zytrec religiously. I had another situation with one of my twins and allergy medicine singulair a daily prescription medication, I saw on the news that it was causing anxiety or depression in children. Which actually had happened to my daughter she was have anxiety attacks, panic attacks...she started getting nervous about all sorts of stuff it was so out of character she was always so easy going. I immediately stopped that & honestly she really got better.
I have had to put my son on a nebulizer machine so many times since September I have lost count. I am going to the allergist tomorrow with him to be re-evaluated.

Well my son was checked out. It seems his lungs were still compromised from the bronchitis he had in Oct. He is now on a steroid liquid, nose spray & nebulizer treatments. We go back for a recheck next week. :(

I have had it all my life and as a child. I really only suffered from the kind that is exercise enduced. He will get used to it and hopefully out grow it. But you should always encourage him to keep up his physical activity despite having Asthma. It will help his immune system to build a tolerance for it. Good luck.

Thank You for commenting :)
He is doing better. I did have to keep him home today. He was nausea from post nasaldrip, he did end up gagging & spitting up:( He is going to be retested next week to see if he has some new allergies. I to think it is important for him to be active. He does enjoy a few outside activities.

I love reading your blog. I check it out all the time hoping for new posts!

I hope you don’t mind --- I’ve been telling all my friends about your blog.

I printed 100 free business cards with my 10 favorite websites (yours was #1!!) and handed them out at our last Mommy Meet-up.

It made me wonder if you had ever done that for yourself? Do you ever meet anyone at a coffeeshop or a playground and start talking about blogging? Maybe you could print up some cards to hand out. Just an idea!

In return for inspiring me, I wanted to pass on these money saving tips to you:
-- 100 Free business cards at www.RedTagPrintSale.com

In case you decide to get something else printed from them (besides the FREE business cards!) I also wanted to tell you about their unlimited use promo code - it never expires and you can use it again and again:
-- 10% off promo code “RTPS10”

FYI: I’ve used this company to print fliers and signs for Church events and even yard sales. The quality is really good compared to what I’ve gotten from VistaPrint and others that offer FREE business cards.

I hope you have a great week. I’ll be checking back soon. Bye!
