Asthma ugg!

My youngest has Asthma and his seems to be getting worse as he gets older. I really don't like giving him medication every day. He was born with severe eczema all over his body the dermatologist put him on elidel cream which was not approved for children under two but his was so bad she thought he needed it. Well a year after he was on it studies showed increase risk for lymphoma's with the use of that medication...My pediatrician said more studies need to be done, but I was not going to take the risk. I was not consistent using it, but I have been very cautious ever since about giving my son something everyday. Now I wonder did I make things worse by not giving him his zytrec religiously. I had another situation with one of my twins and allergy medicine singulair a daily prescription medication, I saw on the news that it was causing anxiety or depression in children. Which actually had happened to my daughter she was have anxiety attacks, panic attacks...she started getting nervous about all sorts of stuff it was so out of character she was always so easy going. I immediately stopped that & honestly she really got better.
I have had to put my son on a nebulizer machine so many times since September I have lost count. I am going to the allergist tomorrow with him to be re-evaluated.

Ok I have started to take over the Blog from my sister Heather. Her freelance publishing work has not given her enough time to work on the blog or you could say when she has a chance she prefers chatting on Facebook. So I have decided to step in. I am by far the least talkative member of my family. So I am stepping out of my comfort zone.
I think I will focus mostly on what I know. Being a stay at home mom of 4, artist & being an identical triplet & having my own set of identical twins.
I am really not the writer type. I have been a watcher listener type of person most of my life. I was very shy as a child and let my triplet sisters do most of the talking. I was very happy to be a follower and not the leader. Art has always been part of my life. I remember having drawing lessons at age 4 using graphite pencils & charcoal. I fell in love with photography in my teens & really enjoyed the process of the picture coming to life. For College I decided on Graphic Arts it was a combination of both worlds. My sisters and I went to the same College for the same thing :). This was a fabulous time living together on Campus. Ok This is my start!Enough said for now.

Chocolate Cup Cakes

A friend recommended this cupcake recipe to me and I had to pass it on for it's low calories and great taste. My family eats them and has no idea that pumpkin filling is in them. You can't taste it. If you love chocolate and don't won't all the calories from a traditional recipe this is the one for you! One serving is very filling.

Please note! if you decide to add frosting to the cupcake; the calorie count will go up from what I have listed below.

Chocolate Cup Cakes

Ingredients:
One box devil's food cake mix (about 18 ounces)
One 15-ounce can pure pumpkin
1/4 cup water

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix the 3 ingredients together. The mixture will be very thick, but don't worry! They come out very moist. The mixture will be placed into a 12-cup muffin tin. Line it with baking cups (I use the foil kind) or spray tin cups with nonstick oil spray. Split mixture evenly throughout tin cups. Place your tin in oven, and bake for 20 minutes. Check cupcakes to see if they are done by sliding a toothpick thru a cupcake then drawing it backout, if it comes out clean-they're done! Eat it plain like me and enjoy the rich chocolate taste. Delicious!

PER SERVING (1 muffin): 181 calories, 3.5g fat, 357mg sodium, 37g carbs, 2g fiber, 20g sugars, 2g protein

Today mark's the anniversary of a wonderful life that was lost so suddenly. Our dear sister, Deborah. She was fun, straight shooting, a gifted artist, an awesome wife and mother. With each passing day, we think of her and remember such wonderful times. She is at peace and I'm sure a guardian angel to many.
